The festival will kick off with the OVO Bounce basketball tournament starting on July 29 through August 2, along with the OVO Summit, which will also take place on August 2.
Then comes two-day OVO Fest concert series at Toronto’s Budweiser Stage starting on August 4.
The 32-year-old entertainer must have been reminiscing on his early beginnings, because the lineup for the 2019 OVO Fest is flooded with artists that were particularly prominent in the mid-2000’s, around the time in which Drake’s musical career skyrocketed.
Performers scheduled to hit the stage during OVO Fest on August 4 include B2K, Bobby Valentino, Lloyd, Mario and Pretty Ricky, all of whom recently banded together for the first time in years as part of their Millennium Tour in early 2019. The Ying Yang Twins are additionally slated to appear at OVO Fest.
There will likely be more performers to hit the stage when Drake performs on August 5.
The actor-turned-TV-producer has a penchant for bringing out surprise guests during his shows at OVO Fest. At the eighth annual festival in 2017, Drake brought out artists like Playboi Carti, Tory Lanez, French Montana and Rae Sremmurd. Even Cardi B got a moment to shine on the OVO stage with her performance of “Bodak Yellow,” which was her biggest—and first—hit single that year.
Tickets for OVO Fest go on sale on Friday. Two-day OVO Fest passes averaged around $220 in the past. For more info on pricing, check HERE.

Fans have long anticipated a return date for the festival, which runs concurrent to Canada’s annual Caribana parade and festival in Toronto. Drake teased the odds of bringing the festival back in late 2018, and then finally confirmed OVO Fest 2019 while celebrating the Toronto Raptors first NBA Championship win in June. Drake said he was trying to convince Raptors players to join him at the festival this year following their big win against the Golden State Warriors.
“I hope that all these guys will join me this year because we’re bringing OVO Fest back, so I hope we can go crazy,” he said at the time. “I go by the name of Drake. I love each and every one of y’all. I hope you enjoy this moment.”
