If you want to highlight text and keep the highlighting visible in your final document, you’ll need to add a background color to that text instead. If you’re working on a shared Pages document with multiple people, each person’s highlights will have a different color. You can also highlight the text by clicking the Insert menu and selecting Highlight. To remove a highlight, hover the cursor over the highlighted area and click Delete. If you’d like to attach a comment, hover the mouse cursor over the highlighted text and click Add a comment. When you’re finished typing your comment, click Done to close the comment window.
